How does the game work?
SpaceGuessr shows you real telescope images of astronomical objects — galaxies, nebulae, planets, star clusters, and more. Your goal is to correctly identify what you're looking at.
- Beginner — Multiple choice, no timer. Great for learning.
- Classic — Multiple choice with a 30-second timer.
- Hard — Type the name yourself; spelling counts.
- Pinpoint — Place a pin on a star chart to identify the object's location in the sky.
- Custom — Set your own lives, timer, and answer style.
Earn points for correct answers. Faster answers score higher. Build streaks for bonus flair!
How do I play with friends?
Use Party mode on the home screen. The host creates a party and shares the 4-digit code. Up to 4 players can join. Once everyone is in, the host selects the game settings and starts the game. Everyone plays simultaneously and results are shown on a shared leaderboard when all players finish.
How is scoring calculated?
Each correct answer earns up to 1,000 points in most modes, scaled by how quickly you answer. The minimum for a correct answer is 100 points. In Pinpoint mode, a perfect placement earns 5,000 points. Wrong answers earn 0 points but don't deduct points.
Do high scores save between sessions?
Yes — your personal best scores are saved locally on your device per category and game mode combination. Scores persist across sessions as long as you don't clear your browser storage.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the payment provider used at checkout.
- If you subscribed via web, visit your account's Subscription & Payments section or contact us at bjung031@gmail.com to cancel.
- If you subscribed via the Apple App Store, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
- If you subscribed via Google Play, go to the Play Store → Subscriptions.
Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You won't be charged again after that.
My game is not loading or images aren't showing. What do I do?
Try the following steps:
- Refresh the page and try again.
- Check your internet connection.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then reload.
- Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Safari).

What data do you collect?
We collect only what's needed to provide the service: your email address and display name when you create an account, and game session data for party play. We do not sell your data. See our

Can I play as a guest?
Yes! Select Play as Guest on the sign-in page. Guest accounts can play Beginner mode. To access all game modes and party play, create a free account.
